Peter Shipps has been building homes on the West Coast of Florida since 1976. Prior to starting his own company many years ago, he worked with several of the area’s premier builders and developers. He has an established reputation for design and construction quality that is rarely found in today’s marketplace. Having participated in building more than 1,600 homes in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties, Peter Shipps possesses a vast knowledge of home building and land development.

Unlike many other builders, Peter Shipps began his construction career doing both frame and trim carpentry as well as cabinet and furniture making. “I believe that my experience as a skilled carpenter is just as important as my abilities as a designer. The construction industry is filled with designers who don’t understand the mechanics of construction and with builders who don’t understand the importance of good design.”

The construction process requires a strong team as well as a qualified leader. Many of Mr. Shipps' staff have been with him since early in his career.
