New Urban Communities was founded in 1998 by principals Kevin Rickard and Tim Hernandez. Together Kevin and Tim have more than 50 years of experience in the development, financial and construction industries. New Urban was formed with the goal of synthesizing best practices from the production and custom homebuilding arenas with new urbanist architectural and community design principles. While other builders seek to grow through standardization and volume, New Urban succeeds in the marketplace through its small unique communities, cutting edge architecture, and a burning desire to create memorable places that stand the test of time.
