"Finding your web site has changed our lives. We were so inspired by this cute little neighborhood that we decided to buy our first home. I recommended your web site to my sister in Dallas, TX who is looking to buy. Hopefully, she will find it just as helpful." -Mickey, Chicago, IL

William Digby purchased the land for what would become Lafayette, Indiana on Christmas Eve in 1824. In May of the following year Digby platted the land and gave the town the name Lafayette after the Revolutionary War hero, the Marquis de Lafayette. The city would soon become a supply center for area settlers and the county seat of Tippecanoe County.
Today, Lafayette is home to over 60,000 people. Residents of Lafayette are able to take advantage of an incredibly diverse workforce. One of the biggest employers in the area is Purdue University. Beyond the University, which actually employs much of the residents in the area, Lafayette is home to the world's third largest producer of aluminum, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, the world's leading manufacturer of renewable food, and one of the top manufacturer's of semi-trailers.
Lafayette has plenty of great things to keep everyone occupied.
