"Thanks to iNest for helping me find my retirement home in North Carolina! iNest was very helpful and every time I needed to call someone, they were always there to help. I was able to view over twenty new home builders in the area and choose which builder I prefer. Then I found a home not on the website, and iNest still helped to finish the deal. I couldn't have made over $2,000 without iNest." -Corey, Charlotte, NC

Jamestown, North Carolina was founded in 1816 by James Mendenhall and his family. Jamestown is well known, as is some of the history about this area. Since the Mendenhall's were Quakers. Jamestown offered a strong community filled with schools, places of worship, and strict values. Jamestown has changed a lot since those days. The town was incorporated in 1947 and today, the town consists of friendly residents, small businesses owned by members of the community, and a high standard of living.
The old buildings that were built when the town was formed have been preserved and are still part of the town. The Mendenhall House was built in 1800 and is still standing and in good condition. The Oakdale Cotton Mill, which was used to manufacture weapons for the Civil War, is also still being used today.
The town of Jamestown offers numerous recreational activities for nearly every resident. While children may enjoy traditional sporting leagues like basketball, football, and even soccer, the adult residents are able to enjoy an 18-hole championship golf course. Jamestown has the distinction of being the smallest town to run their own public golf course. The main park in town, Gibson Park, offers a picnic area, soccer and baseball fields, and walking trails.
